A lifelong North Dakotan, D.B. Olmsted weathers his state’s drastic change of seasons with his family, an ornery dog, and a love for escaping into a good story or project. A tinkerer by nature and curious to a fault, his writings, like his hobbies, span a wide range of genres and topics. Fiction River magazine represents his first professional short story sales with works featured in upcoming issues Wave Goodbye, Manners and Magic, and Halloween Hearts. He is currently working on a speculative fiction novel along with a collection of poetry centered on nature, relationships, and mental health.
